VueReal Appoints Shawn Mills as Vice President of Engineering

Waterloo, Ontario, August 20, 2024 — VueReal, a pioneer in MicroSolid Printing™ technology, today announced the appointment of Shawn Mills as Vice President of Engineering. Shawn brings a wealth of experience and a visionary approach to the role, where he will oversee the development and integration of cartridge technology, backplane design, and microLED device engineering. His leadership will be instrumental in advancing VueReal’s mission to revolutionize the micro semiconductor industry.

Shawn Mills joins VueReal from Christie Digital, where he served as Senior Director of Display Engineering. At Christie, Shawn led a cross-functional team that bolstered the company's presence in the premium direct-view display market. His deep understanding of both technology and business, combined with a passion for innovation, has been a driving force behind his successful career.

Formally trained in mechanical systems engineering and holding an MBA in Strategic Management, Shawn has led programs for industry giants such as Boeing, AT&T, and Disney. His diverse background and strategic mindset make him ideally suited to guide VueReal’s semiconductor engineering team toward groundbreaking advancements in microLED display, lighting, and micro semiconductor fabrication.

His day-to-day activities will include overseeing the design, development, and optimization of cartridge technology, leading the development of robust backplane designs, and driving the engineering of microLED devices from design to scale-up production.
