The mass transfer of microscopic LEDs has been a longstanding bottleneck in microLED manufacturing. Traditional methods often rely on complex and expensive laser-based techniques. At VueReal, we’ve taken a different path. Our MicroSolid Printing™ technology reimagines microLED manufacturing by eliminating the need for lasers and pick-and-place.
Instead, our cartridge-based system enables precise alignment and placement of microLEDs, enhancing accuracy and control. This approach reduces cleanroom requirements—allowing us to operate in standard cleanroom environments and eliminating the need for hazardous gases—and lowers both capital and operational expenses. By collaborating with leading equipment manufacturers, we’ve developed custom solutions tailored for the automated assembly of our microLED cartridges, paving the way for scalable and cost-effective production.
Smart Manufacturing: Leveraging Existing Infrastructure
One of the questions I’m frequently asked is, “What sets VueReal apart?” The answer is in our innovative approach to manufacturing. Instead of investing heavily in new fabrication facilities, we’ve collaborated with established semiconductor foundries. This strategy allows us to utilize existing RGB LED production lines, significantly reducing upfront costs and accelerating our production timeline. By outsourcing the fabrication of our proprietary cartridge substrates to these foundries, we ensure a streamlined production process while maintaining rigorous quality control. This collaborative model optimizes performance and democratizes access to advanced microLED technology.
Automotive: The Strategic Launchpad
Another question I receive is, “Why focus on the automotive industry first?” The answer is multi-layered. Automotive manufacturers demand displays that perform reliably under diverse environmental conditions.
