Ultra-Thin, High Brightness Displays Powered by MicroSolid Printing Enable Compact HUDs

Discover how VueReal's innovative MicroSolid Printing platform is enabling advanced display systems for compact HUDs
Top HUD Challenges

Automotive heads-up displays (HUDs) are valuable tools for drivers, but they can occupy valuable space on the car dashboard.

Another form of HUD architecture is the panoramic display, which spans the entire windshield width. In this setup, images are reflected through a reflective area on the windshield, allowing for a wide field of view. To ensure visibility, these displays must be exceptionally bright. Backlight modulation is employed to enhance the contrast ratio, but this comes with significant power consumption and heat generation from the backlight.
